About Us

Ferreter is a new service dedicated to the provision of Internet solutions.  It has been launched as a specialist internet arm of Alpha Analytic Limited, a technology company which has been trading for more than 20 years. 

Ferreter was established to provide clients with a complete business solution for their Internet needs.  We had encountered a number of cases where we had been asked to help resolve issues people had had with their existing web projects. 

Many of these problems stemmed from the fact that the overall business requirements for the site and how these were going to be achieved had not been properly addressed at the outset.  Partly this is because the internet is relatively new, without established professional practices.  There are also few effective consumer protection measures in place to help an SME who may have made a bad choice of web design or internet marketing provider.

Anybody can offer websites and internet marketing services.  Often the first port of call for a new website is web designer, who although important for the overall look of the site, may not be best qualified to handle many of the other business, legal, commercial and technical issues surrounding your web presence. You wouldn't expect to base your choice of a new high street shop only on the advice of only the shop fitter. 

Other problems that often arose were down to domain names being registered in the web designer’s own name, or the lack of written contract terms.  

All but the simplest of websites call for solid technology and project management skills, yet SMEs were reluctant to pay for advice on how to avoid the potential problems. We realised there was a need for a business who would offer a complete solution with high quality business and technical expertise, contracting on standard terms that are fair and clear.
